The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is gearing up to issue its next Cost of Living payment to eligible people across the country.
Eligible benefit claimants will receive a one-off payment of £300 during the autumn period. So far, as part of the £900 cost of living payment, £301 has been paid out to DWP benefit and HMRC tax credits claimants.
It will be a welcome payout for Brits continuing to face pressure from the worsening cost of living crisis, which has recently been exacerbated by the Bank of England's base rate review which saw interest rates rise to 5.25 per cent - the highest it's been in over a decade.

The first payment of £301 was sent out to claimants between April 25 and May 17 for most people. While a confirmed date for the second £300 payment to drop has not yet been announced by the government, claimants shouldn't be waiting too much longer.
The DWP has said that the second cost of living payment will be paid out in autumn. Last year, the first and second cost of living payments were sent out four months apart, which means people may not have too much longer to wait.
The DWP usually announces the exact payment date around four weeks beforehand.
Just like the first payment earlier this year, the £300 will be given to low-income households who received a payment from an eligible benefit during a yet unannounced qualifying period.

Wilson have previously stated that the next actor will need to be in their early 30s, and be able to commit to the role for at least 10 year. One of the current favourites to become the next Bond is 33-year-old Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who recently refused to rule out the casting.Elsewhere in William Hill Vegas’ survey, fans were also asked to vote for their all-time favourite Bond movie.Skyfall, starring Daniel Craig, topped the list with 17.5 percent of the vote, far ahead of the second-placed Goldfinger (8.5 percent), starring the late Sean Connery.

Hilary Duff is already being flooded… with jokes. The unique spelling of the hurricane — which increased to a Category 4 on Friday morning — means Duff is one of the rare «Hilarys» who shares her exact first name with the worrisome storm, a fact she lamented on her Instagram Story on Thursday.«I've gotten so many texts, it's like my birthday,» she wrote. «They couldn't have gone with two Ls?»It doesn't help, of course, that one of Duff's most popular singles, 2003's «Come Clean,» features the chorus, «Let the rain fall down and wake my dreams / Let it wash away my sanity / 'Cause I wanna feel the thunder, I wanna scream / Let the rain fall down, I'm coming clean.»Duff's husband, Matthew Koma, even got in on the joke, taking to TikTok to share a video of himself in the couple's kitchen.«Hey, so I've been living in the eye of Hurricane Hilary for a couple years now, and I just wanted to hop on here and show you guys what it's like,» he teased, as his wife fired back some Category 5 side-eye.Hurricane Hilary is expected to reduce in intensity by the time it makes landfall, however, it still could potentially be the first tropical storm to hit Southern California since September 1939 — in which a tropical storm hit Long Beach, causing dozens of fatalities.
