Vandals have damaged trees at a park in Ramsbottom - less than 24 hours after they were planted.
Five semi-mature trees were put in at Peel Brow last week, but had been snapped in half by the following morning.
The trees – a mixture of Manchurian cherry and cockspur hawthorn - will not be replaced as it has been deemed 'too much of a risk'.
