Scots TikToker Nathan Evans is already on a Brits bender - after starting his drinking first thing this morning ahead of tonight's ceremony.
Former postie turned sea shanty hitmaker Nathan told fans it was his first time to relax properly in four weeks as he sipped on a refreshment around 7.50am.
And he revealed his nerves were shot ahead of the star-studded ceremony, so he needed a cold pint of beer to help.
He said: "I've not drank in four weeks and was supposed to be 'aff it' as they say in Scotland."
His excuse:" But Im SH***ING MY PANTS, soooo think that's a fair enough excuse."
"So I mean is it too early. Surely no. I'm Scottish. It's alright isnt it?"
Looking at himself via his camera phone, the Airdrie lad who is up for a Best Song nomination for Wellerman added that he needed to shave once he was in his hotel room.
He then posed at the Brit Awards red carpet as he made his way to the venue for a Covid test.
Nathan also shared a throwback video of himself playing at a venue six years ago.
He added: "Seeing how far I've come...this video was taken 6 years ago today! I'm still the same lad with his guitar singing ma heart out Still cannot believe I'm nominated for a #brits....WOW! @brits "
Nathan joins fellow Scot Calvin Harris in the running for a Brit award this year after Lewis Capaldi managed to turn the air blue with his expletive stuffed speech last year.
Lewis had definitely enjoyed a few shandies ahead of his big moment and even took a bottle of Buckie on stage with him.
He later defended: "Imagine having a drink on my first night off in moths after winning two Brit awards, can you believe it?! [sic]"
Looks like Nathan might be upholding the tradition.
