aespa singer NingNing recently covered songs by Tori Kelly, Beyoncé and more during her guest appearance on Lee Mu-jin Service. aespa’s NingNing made an appearance on the May 28 episode of the popular YouTube talk show, Lee Mu-jin Service.
The Chinese K-pop idol came on the show to promote the girl group’s first studio album single ‘Armageddon’, which released earlier this week, and also performed a handful of covers.The vocalist kicked off her appearance on the show with a short solo rendition of the 2023 aespa song, ‘Thirsty’, before following it up with abridged covers of K-pop girl group S.E.S.’s hit 2000 song ‘Be Natural’ and ‘Good Things’ by Kehlani and Zedd.Following a cover of Tori Kelly’s 2015 song ‘Paper Hearts’, NingNing opened up about how she was “inspired by Beyoncé’s performances” when she was younger. “When I came across Beyoncé’s performance, I knew I wanted to be like her,” the aespa singer added, before launching into a brief rendition of the pop star’s 2003 hit ‘Me, Myself and I’.To close out the episode, NingNing and Lee Mu-jin teamed up to cover the duet ‘Breath’ by Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon and late SHINee singer Jonghyun.NingNing’s appearance on Lee Mu-jin Service came just a day after aespa – completed by Karina, Winter and Giselle – released ‘Armageddon’.
