Thom Yorke announces solo tour with dates in Australia, Singapore, and more

The Jesus and Mary Chain just announced they’re striking out on a 27-concert, North American co-headlining tour with The Psychedelic Furs and special guest Frankie Rose this fall.Early on in the run, the ’80s alt icons will make three New York stops.First up, they’re slated to bring their unique brands of pop to New York City’s Beacon Theatre on Friday, Oct. 4.

Julien Baker on tour would be a huge mistake.Baker, 28, just announced her first true solo tour since her 2021-22 ‘Little Oblivions Tour.’This time around, the indie folk/art rocker will pound the pavement at U.S., Canadian and British venues from September through November.As of now, the “Appointments” singer doesn’t have a New York concert lined up but will headline at the inaugural NYC edition of the All Things Go Festival on Sept. 29 alongside big names like Chappell Roan, Reneé Rapp, MUNA, Janelle Monáe and Ethel Cain among others.“Excited to be getting back on the road with the band,” Baker shared on Instagram.

The “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” singer-songwriter announced a farewell tour Monday morning, setting one last national jaunt that will take her to arenas in 23 cities in North America this fall before she calls it a day as a touring artist. Lauper did not release any statement explaining her reasons for deciding to do a farewell tour now, although she is expected to talk about it later this week as she promotes a new documentary about her career, “Let the Canary Sing,” that premieres on Paramount+ Tuesday.
