The highly anticipated Netflix series The Gentlemen arrives on the streaming platform on Thursday 7 March with Theo James and Kaya Scodelario in the main roles as Eddie Halstead and Susie Glass.The series sounds familiar because Guy Ritchie, writer, executive producer and director also created the film with the same name. During the making of the series, the cast and crew filmed in various locations from Brocket Hall to Badminton House but during one take, the team made a costly error. During a Q&A at the world premiere, Guy revealed an incident on set left them in trouble.

Joe Wright, director behind the Golden Globe and multi-BAFTA winning films Pride and Prejudice, The Darkest Hour and Atonement, is set to direct and executive produce The Department, based on the acclaimed French espionage political thriller The Bureau, from George Clooney and Grant Heslov’s Smokehouse Pictures, MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios. Wright replaces Clooney, who initially was slated to direct the series.

Joe Otterson TV Reporter The “NCIS” prequel series in the works at CBS has cast Austin Stowell in the read role of a young Leroy Jethro Gibbs, Variety has learned. The series, titled “NCIS: Origins,” was originally ordered at CBS in January with plans to launch during the 2024-2025 broadcast season. Mark Harmon, who played Gibbs for nearly two decades in the mothership series, will serve as the show’s narrator and executive producer.

Michelle Yeoh‘s recent Netflix series The Brothers Sun has been cancelled just two months after its first and now only season was released.The crime drama is set in Southern California’s San Gabriel Valley and follows Taiwanese mobster Charles Sun (played by Justin Chien), whose father is assassinated in Taipei. Joe Otterson TV Reporter “The Terminal List” prequel series at Amazon Prime Video has cast Dar Salim in a key recurring guest star role, Variety has learned. Salim has joined “The Terminal List: Dark Wolf” in the role of Mohammed “Mo” Farooq. He joins previously announced series lead Taylor Kitsch as well as cast members Chris Pratt, Jared Shaw, Tom Hopper, and Luke Hemsworth.

The new division’s goal is to produce premium, scripted television and features for mainstream U.S.

Joe Otterson TV Reporter The “Outlander” prequel series at Starz has cast four actors as younger versions of key characters from the original show. “Outlander: Blood of My Blood” has added Rory Alexander (“Inland,” “Pistol”), Sam Retford (“Hoard,” “Ackley Bridge”), Séamus McLean Ross (“Rebus,” “Payback”), and Conor MacNeill (“The Tourist,” “Industry”) to its cast. Alexander will play a young Murtagh Fitzgibbons Fraser, originally played by Duncan LaCroix.
