The 27th Screen Actors Guild Awards honours the year's best achievements in film and television performances. The one-hour, pre-taped show which is being held virtually does not have a host this year, nor the usual banquet or red carpet.

Viola Davis‘ latest photoshoot was a family affair! The Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom star, 55, posed with her nine-year-old daughter, Genesis Tennon for a very special cover of W Magazine. This was Viola and Genesis’ first mother-daughter magazine cover, and most certainly not their last. The ladies shined on the cover, part of a photo essay helmed by friend Regina King in The Directors Issue.

The 2021 NAACP Image Awards crowned DJ D-Nice, who hosted hit socially distanced dance parties during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, with its top honor of Entertainer of the Year in an evening that featured numerous references to the coronavirus crisis.
