The city of Los Angeles is keeping  Kobe  and  Gianna Bryant ’s legacy alive during some of the most trying times.  Vanessa Bryant  took to her Instagram stories to share a host of photos of murals of her late husband and daughter that were spared during citywide protests. The nationwide protests in response to the tragic death of George Floyd, who died after Police Officer Derek Chauvin pressed a knee into his neck for more than eight minutes, has often resulted in the destruction of property. Vanessa Bryant, however, pointed out that several murals of her late husband, Kobe Bryant, have remained unharmed.

After riots in Los Angeles, Vanessa Bryant appreciated that murals of Kobe and Gigi were saved amid protests for George Floyd. Vanessa—who lost her husband and her 13-year-old daughter in a helicopter crash on January 26—took to her Instagram Stories on Monday, June 1, to share photos of several murals of Kobe and Gigi that went untouched by rioters.
