V Channels Expands Into Kids Entertainment
V Channels has teamed with WWPS TV to expand into the kids’ content arena with the acquisition of the 3D animated Puffins series. V Channels will launch a dedicated YouTube channel to showcase all 250 episodes of the animated content controlled by WWPS-TV and represent worldwide digital platform distribution rights to further spin-off movies and animated series. Featuring the voice of Johnny Depp, the Puffins Universe includes the original Puffins series, the latest installment of the brand Jipo & Baby Puffins, and Arctic Friends Universe. “By joining forces with V Channels, WWPS.TV has an exciting opportunity to promote the Puffins brand for new generations of audiences and streaming platforms worldwide,” said Luca Matrundola.
South Australian Film Corporation Hires Head of Production And Development
The South Australian Film Corporation (SAFC) has hired Leanne Saunders as Head of Production and Development. Leanne comes to the SAFC from the New Zealand Film Commission (NZFC) where she has served for the past eight years as Head of Development and Production. Before the NZFC, Saunders was a producer, with credits including launching Piki Films with Taika Waititi and Carthew Neal. Leanne commences her role on Monday 24 June, 2024.
