Amazon Studios is moving forward with an awards push for director Michael Grandage’s romantic drama “My Policeman,” despite mixed reviews out of the Toronto Film Festival, where it received an ensemble tribute. Variety has learned exclusively that Amazon will be submitting the entire cast, which includes music superstar Harry Styles and Emmy nominee Emma Corrin, all in the supporting categories for Oscar consideration. Going between younger and older versions of the three main characters over a 40-year span, the British drama tells the story of Tom (Styles and Linus Roache), Marion (Corrin and Gina McKee) and Patrick (David Dawson and Rupert Everett) and how events from their past affect their future when reunited.

UTA announced new roles for two senior leadership members, promoting Jay Sures to vice chairman while naming David Kramer as president. The pair had served together as co-presidents of the company since 2017.In addition to his roles in building UTA’s television group, Sures oversees UTA’s news, speakers, and culture and leadership practices, while also representing a wide roster of talent. He was inducted into the Broadcasting Hall of Fame in 2016.The company did not specify what new responsibilities Kramer would assume as solo president.
“The ultimate power player, Jay’s contributions to UTA over three decades are enormous,” wrote UTA co-founder and CEO Jeremy Zimmer wrote in a company-wide email. He has played a major role in systematically building our television group, including literary and talent, into an industry leader, while representing a wide roster of clients. He also oversees, and continues to grow, our news, speakers, and culture and leadership groups.”Zimmer also offered praise for Kramer.
“David’s appointment as president acknowledges the important role he serves as my close strategic partner, leader of a large part of UTA’s operations, and forward-thinking business builder. Again and again, David has been a trusted ally to clients and a passionate champion of our people and our culture,” Zimmer wrote. “Having David as our President underscores my confidence in the future direction and stewardship of our business.”The longtime agents and board members began their three-decade-long tenures with the company in the mailroom before working with UTA co-founder Peter Benedek.

Iervolino, whose Iervolino and Lady Bacardi Entertainment (ILBE) company produces feature films including Bobby Moresco’s upcoming “Lamborghini,” is also the founder of innovative digital entertainment platform TaTaTu, a social media platform that uses a form of rewards points called TTU Coins. TaTaTu recently acquired a controlling stake in London’s Mercato Metropolitano from its founder Andrea Rasca who in 2016 established this pioneering community market as a space for social exchange and environmental sustainability.
