‘Uncoupled’ Picked Up By Showtime For Season 2 Following Netflix Cancellation As Part Of New Content Strategy

Neighbours fans can officially get excited as some more soap favourites will officially be returning to the revived show, set to premiere later this year. Fans of the long-running Aussie soap were left devastated when it was announced in February 2022 that Neighbours was coming to an end after a 37-year run, with a tear-jerking final episode aired on Channel 5 later that year.

February 2023 was a solidly busy month for Netflix with some major renewal and cancellation decisions being made for their original TV content.

Adam Scott and the old gang are retying their iconic pink bow ties for a brand new season of the cult-favorite 2009 workplace comedy. Over a decade since season 2 aired, the raunchy catering crew will reunite for a six-episode revival on Friday, February 24.Created by John Enbom, Rob Thomas, Dan Etheridge and Paul Rudd, follows a ragtag team of Hollywood wannabes who moonlight as caterers. The series’ original ensemble cast featured plenty of now-familiar faces in comedy, including Scott, Ken Marino, Lizzy Caplan, Ryan Hansen, Martin Starr, Jane Lynch, and Megan Mullally.

It was announced in August 2022 that the hit series would be wrapping up with its fourth season. Offerman (“The Last of Us,” “Parks and Recreation”) and Mullally (“Will & Grace,” “Party Down”), who are married in real life, will star as Drs. Gene and Jean Thibedeau. The characters are described as “a married pair of community college professors from New Mexico who wear sensible footwear and suffer from the most extreme case of deja vu this timeline has ever seen.”

The Glory has been released.The Glory follows Moon Dong-eun (played by Song Hye-kyo), a broken woman after falling victim to violence as a child, which led to her being forced to drop out of school and give up on her dreams of becoming an engineer. Dong-eun dedicates her adulthood to plotting revenge against the perpetrators.

The Paramount Global operation under Chris McCarthy continues to shift finished series to Showtime, which was added to his portfolio in November. The Waco sequel, Waco: The Aftermath, which had been produced for Paramount+, will now be carried by Showtime –debuting on streaming and on demand Friday, April 14, and on-air Sunday, April 16, at 10 PM.
