Following Showtime‘s decision not to proceed with a new season of Uncoupled after Netflix‘s cancellation, the series’ cast is breaking their silence.

It’s been over a year since we’ve last had an update on the second season on Uncoupled.

EXCLUSIVE: Uncoupled is not getting saved after all. Showtime has decided not to proceed with Season 2 of the comedy series, from Emily in Paris creator Darren Star and Modern Family veteran Jeffrey Richman, Deadline has learned. A rep for the network could not be reached for comment.

Mainstay Entertainment and Paradigm have signed Tisha Campbell for representation in all areas.

EXCLUSIVE: Showtime is developing Jonah Kills, a UK-based comedy created and written by Clem Garritty. It hails from Jax Media UK, which commissioned up-and-comer Garritty to generate four scripts before the comedy was pitched to Showtime. There is no work currently being done on the scripts but I hear the intention is to cast and film a pilot after the strikes, and veteran TV director Iain B. MacDonald (Poker Face, Shantaram) has been tapped to direct it.
