The top 10 most scenic driving routes across the UK have been named, and two in Scotland are included.
With less than two weeks until March, winter is almost over and spring will soon be here. As the cold weather begins to subside, and roads become less treacherous, there is no better time for a spectacular road trip.
There are countless stunning routes across the UK, making it hard to know where to head. Fortunately, automotive experts at specialist leasing website Select Car Leasing have shared 10 of the most magnificent routes to take as the sun peeks out for the first time this year.
The first Scottish route featured on the list is between Glasgow and Fort William on the A82. Stating that it "encapsulates Scotland in one fell swoop", Select Car Leasing praised the drive for being a "route of contrasts".
Starting from Glasgow, drivers will travel along the western bank of Loch Lomond and head north to pass through Rannoch Moor and into Glencoe. From mountain peaks to breathtaking waterfalls and tranquil lochs, the A82 showcases the best the country has to offer.
Meanwhile, the other Scottish driving route included on the list are the A85 and A84 roads between Crianlarich and Stirling. Taking approximately an hour from start to finish, you will pass through pretty towns and villages including Doune, Callander, and Strathyre.
Select Car Leasing adds: "The Trossachs are known for some of the best hiking in the UK - but the driving isn’t too shabby either. Take your pick from undulating roads across moorland, mountain passes, forests and lakes.
"The views across Loch Lubnaig near Callander are particularly stunning."
Other routes included on the list are Barnstaple to Newquay in England and Dolgellau to Fishguard in Wales. The
