Two men from Bury have been arrested after a high-speed chase involving a police helicopter on the M56.
Officers from the Roads Policing Unit supported by the police helicopter pulled over a silver BMW 116 at around 11pm on Monday (June 14) at junction 11 near Runcorn.
The chase ended near to where a man was airlifted to hospital in a serious condition after his lorry came off the motorway earlier
