Two Los Angeles Lakers Players Have Tested Positive for Coronavirus

Good news for Los Angeles residents who are hoping to be tested for coronavirus – Mayor Eric Garcetti has announced that anyone experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 will now be eligible for a test.

Sean Penn has teamed up with the city of Los Angeles to bring a pop-up coronavirus testing location to the area. The actor, 59, was praised by the Los Angeles Deputy Mayor Jeff Gorell on Tuesday for his efforts in helping out his community in this time of need.

Sean Penn is doing what he can to help out Los Angeles during the coronavirus pandemic. The actor and his non-profit, CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort), have partnered with the city to help run a coronavirus testing center in East L.A.

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson have returned home to the United States after testing positive for COVID-19, the novel coronavirus, in Australia. The "Cast Away" actor took to his Twitter account to announce the good news after he and Wilson spent more than two weeks in Queensland self-isolating.

News that they've returned to Los Angeles after recovering from the virus in Australia. The couple was all smiles as they were photographed driving on Friday.

Singer-songwriter Jackson Browne says he has tested positive for coronavirus. Browne, 71, best known for the 1977 song “Running on Empty,” revealed his medical condition to Rolling Stone magazine.

Earlier in the day, Cohen had talked to Variety about hosting the show from his apartment in New York City, but for now, those plans are on hold, a Bravo spokesperson confirmed.

The NBA has told its teams to close their training and practice facilities to all players and staff starting Friday, a development that came on a day where four more teams revealed they have had players or staff test positive for the coronavirus. Now, the list of players in the NBA who have tested positive continues to grow, as the Lakers and Celtics have both confirmed players on their rosters have tested positive for COVID-19, with Boston guard Marcus Smart confirming his diagnosis on social media.

A few hours later, ABC News president James Goldston announced that a Los Angeles-based employee who has been covering the virus outbreak in Seattle has tested positive for the virus, according to a memo obtained by The Hollywood Reporter.
