Luckily the BBC's Gardeners' World host Monty Don has shared a top tip for how to get rid of moss from your lawn for those keen to start mowing.
The TV star advises that it's a good idea to take care of lawns now before the weather gets warmer - Leicestershire Live reports.

But to get any new growth, you'll first need to get rid of the unwanted addition to your lawn.
Moss can easily spread across your grass during winter. This is because the small green clumps love the wet, dark conditions of the colder months.
On the other hand, grass doesn't really grow when the temperature drops below 8C, which gives moss a great chance to spread. Moss isn't always bad though. It's actually really good for tiny creatures, which then become food for other animals.
Moss is also great at soaking up water and reducing flooding. But, as many gardeners like their lawns to look like green carpets, lots of us choose to remove it.
If you have moss on your lawn, it probably means your soil is shaded, doesn't drain well, and is acidic. Moss loves these conditions, especially where there's lots of thatch (the layer of organic matter that builds up at the base of the grass).
