BBC The Traitors' Claudia Winkleman left 'physically shaking' over shocking moment on set

As the grand finale of The Traitors creeps ever closer to its dramatic conclusion, host Claudia Winkleman has revealed the one moment on set that left her and the crew “physically shaking.” The 52 year old host, who swapped the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom for the presenting gig on the whodunnit-inspired gameshow for the second year running, opened up about her time on set on Thursday evening’s edition of The One Show, 25 January. While chatting to hosts Lauren Laverne and Alex Jones, Claudia admitted there wasn’t too much she could say about the show while it was still airing, as she didn’t want to ruin the magic for viewers at home so close to the final - or to give the game away to viewers who may not even have started watching the show yet at all.

The Traitors host Claudia Winkleman has hit out at 'misogyny' among this year’s Traitors as Faithful Charlotte was sent home and yet another male, Ross, was recruited into the fold. Clearly unimpressed by the choice made by remaining Traitors Harry and Andrew, Claudia even wryly joked that their decision to recruit another male was "just like the olden days".The unexpected recruitment happened during Friday's show (19 January), when tensions were already at an all time high due to the high number of players that had already been eliminated.

Viewers of the BBC One show watched last night as Diane became the latest of the Faithful contestants to be 'killed' by the Traitors in the game, being 'murdered' in plain sight by Miles in a fittingly camp fashion - with a glass of fizzy rosé. While the fan-favourite loved filming the show over several weeks, she revealed in an exclusive chat with OK! that her friends grew concerned during her time away - as she'd left her husband to respond to her texts.

After last week’s nail biting cliffhanger that saw The Traitor ’s star Diane’s fate hanging in the balance, viewers at home finally revealed the truth about her fate during Wednesday’s episode. The 63 year old from Lancashire looked set to be killed during last week’s finale, when Traitor Miles was tasked with murdering the next Faithful with a ‘poisoned chalice’. Whoever drank from the goblet would be sent home from the competition, but in a surprising twist the episode ended on a cliffhanger that showed the goblet in Diane’s hand - but crucially didn’t show the star drinking from it.
