The show follows an introverted son (John Owen Lowe) who goes to work for his very successful, wildly eccentric father (Rob Lowe) in order to save him and his successful biotech company from disaster.

As Rob joined Susanna and Richard Madeley on the show via video link, he began: "First of all how do you put up with those politicians every day? Oh my God they do my head in, absolute maggots." Rob then mimed a hand gesture which he attributed to the show's previous guest, Mr Raab.
