The publication of Heat 2 this week marks writer/director Michael Mann’s debut as a novelist, expands the mythology of perhaps his most beloved film, and becomes the first major release of the publishing imprint he set at William Morrow six years ago.

EXCLUSIVE: Annaleigh Ashford is set to co-star opposite Sarah Paulson in Searchlight Pictures’ upcoming horror thriller Dust. Will Joines and Karrie Crouse are directing the pic, which was penned by Crouse.  The film will stream on Disney’s DTC platforms as a Hulu Original in the U.S., with additional release plans to be announced.  Principal photography is set to commence late August. Paulson is also exec producing.

Netflix has dropped the teaser trailer for “Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio,” the stop-motion animation film based on the classic story of the wooden puppet boy Pinocchio from the Oscar-winning master behind “Pan’s Labyrinth” and “The Shape of Water.” Guillermo del Toro’s take on Pinocchio is naturally far darker, introducing us to the wooden boy’s cricket conscience that is hardly as dapper as Disney’s Jiminy Cricket. Emmett Till’s tragic life story is coming to the big screen. On Monday, MGM studios released the trailer for "Till" which shares Till’s abduction and lynching when he was 14 years old in Mississippi in 1955. "Till" will debut at the 60th New York Film Festival in Lincoln Center.The exact date has not yet been shared.

Such an interaction violated the racist code of behavior in the Jim Crow-era South.Donham told her husband, Roy Bryant, about the alleged encounter.
