Thundercat Shares New Song “Fair Chance,” With Ty Dolla $ign and Lil B: Listen

(Sandy) Alex G has shared a new song titled “rosebush.” The largely-instrumental track is accompanied by video that contains a short story about a woman named Joanna, three yowling grey cats, and the titular rosebush. The story also has the line, “Crawl back to your hole, rat!,” written many times. Check out the song and video below.

Laura Marling has announced she has moved up the release date of her new album, Song for Our Daughter. Originally slated for a summer release, the record will now arrive April 10 via Partisan/Chrysalis. “In light of the change to all our circumstances, I saw no reason to hold back on something that, at the very least, might entertain, and at its best, provide some sense of union,” she wrote in a statement. Marling has also shared a new song, “Held Down.” Find that below.

Rina Sawayama has shared a new song from her forthcoming debut, SAWAYAMA. “Chosen Family,” produced by PC Music’s Danny L Harle, is dedicated “to my queer friends who I now consider family,” Sawayama says in a press release. Hear it below.

Australian pop artist Troye Sivan is back with a new single, “Take Yourself Home.” Sivan co-wrote the song with Leland, Tayla Parx, Oscar Görres, who also produced the track. (Görres previously produced Sivan’s “My My My!” from 2018’s Bloom.) Watch the lyric video for “Take Yourself Home” below.

Craig Finn, frontman for the Hold Steady, has announced a new album called All These Perfect Crosses. He’s also shared its title track. The LP was recorded during Finn’s sessions from his most recent solo album, last year’s I Need a New War. The double album arrives June 20 (via Partisan) for the recently rescheduled Record Store Day. The LA musician co-produced the Ty Dolla $ign and Lil B collaboration with Sounwave and Flying Lotus.

Quelle Chris has announced a new album that features Earl Sweatshirt, billy woods, Tune-Yards’ Merrill Garbus, Denmark Vessey, Homeboy Sandman, Pink Siifu, comedian Josh Gondelman, and more. It’s called Innocent Country 2 and it arrives April 24 via Mello Music Group. He’s also shared a new track from the record, titled “LIVING HAPPY” (featuring Chicago’s Joseph Chilliams and New Orleans-based rapper Cavalier).

Composer, artist, and producer Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith is back with a new album called The Mosaic of Transformation. It’s out May 15 via Ghostly. Yaeji is back. The Korean-American producer, DJ, and vocalist has announced her first-ever mixtape, WHAT WE DREW 우리가 그려왔던, which arrives on April 2 via XL. Yaeji has also released the first single from the project, “WAKING UP DOWN,”’ with a new animated video. The video was produced by Studio Yatta and features creative direction/illustration by Annie Zhao in addition to character design by Yaeji herself. Watch that below.
