A gorgeous cross breed who loves treats is on the hunt for a home in Manchester. The beautiful bull breed, called Nala, is somewhat shy, but is hoping someone will take a chance on her and help her come out of her shell.
The three-year-old dog is described as a playful girl who ‘knows what she likes and likes what she knows’, and as such, needs new owners who will let her take things at her own pace.
Food is the way to this little lady’s heart, with volunteers having found reward-based training works well for her since she arrived at Dogs Trust Manchester.

Nala loves seeing her human friends and gets giddy when she knows it’s time to spend time with them, but she needs time to build a bond and can be wary of being over handled, which is why her adopters will need to be a little patient with her.
Carol Margieson, Deputy Manager at Dogs Trust Manchester, said: “Nala loves heading out on day trips so hops in the car no problem and is always up for an adventure. When she’s home and ready for a snooze she likes her own space so a non-open plan house is ideal for her so she can take herself off and chill out on her own.
“A non-open plan home will help Nala get used to people visiting as she can be anxious meeting strangers so being able to pop her into a room of her own away from the front door with some tasty treats to keep her busy when people come and go, will really help her relax.”
Nala’s ideal new home would include a secure garden where she can run around and play with her favourite toys to her heart’s content. While she’s not keen to live with other dogs, she has lived with a cat previously so potentially could have a feline

Police are appealing for witnesses after a car was stolen with a toddler in the backseat. A two-year-old girl was still in the vehicle when it was driven off by a thief in County Durham. Fortunately the youngster was found safe and well a few minutes later, but officers are investigating the incident, which took place in Church Street, Quarrington Hill, near Durham City, at about 7pm on Wednesday night (September 21). A family had parked their silver Vauxhall Vectra outside a relative’s house to drop shopping off when a dark Nissan X-Trail pulled up in the street and drove slowly past. The engine of the Vauxhall was still running while one member of the family stood by the car door and others took items inside. The suspect vehicle then reversed back along the street to pull alongside the Vauxhall and a man, dressed in a blue hooded jacket and black joggers, jumped out and climbed into the driver’s seat, with the two-year-old strapped into a car seat in the rear.
