Three people arrested for murder after man collapses and dies at home

Detectives have launched a murder investigation after a man collapsed at home and died. Three people have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the 54-year-old's death in St Helens, the Liverpool Echo reports.
Paramedics were called on Tuesday, August 22 at around 1.30am after a victim was attacked on Brookhouse Grove. He was taken to hospital for treatment of his injuries, was spoken to by police and was then discharged.
The next day Merseyside Police received a call at 3.30pm reporting the same man had been found collapsed at a property. He was rushed to hospital where he died.

A post mortem has taken place to establish the cause of death, with no further details being released at this time. The man’s family is aware and are being supported by specially trained officers.
Two men, aged 54 and 42 years, and a 29-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of murder. They have been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.
An investigation is underway and enquiries are ongoing. Eyewitnesses said police have been on Brookhouse Grove since Wednesday, with officers and forensics coming and going from the scene.
On Friday, August 25, forensics officers could be seen taking pictures of the outside of a block of flats and dusting for fingerprints on the front entrance.
