Celebrity MasterChef made a comeback on BBC One and the intense cooking competition is heating up as the first contestants take to the kitchen. The MasterChef spin-off has kept fans hooked so far and they are keen to know who is up to impress the judges.

Love Island (don’t worry – you won’t find any spoilers here), plus Celebrity MasterChef was back with the first episode of this year’s series. The first celebrities to cook for judges, John Torode and Gregg Wallace, were Blue’s Duncan James, actress Sue Pollard, comedian Munya Chawawa, EastEnders star Rita Simons, and Happy Mondays’ Bez.

Celebrity MasterChef as watchers were in stitches at music star Mark Berry aka ‘Bez’s’ hilarious personality on the show. John Torrode and Gregg Wallace have returned for the 16th series of Celebrity MasterChef, with a brand new set of celebrities.

Celebrity MasterChef returned to BBC One last night (9 August) for its 16th series, and many fans were delighted with Mark ‘Bez’ Berry’s performance on the show. The new series sees Happy Mondays percussionist Bez competing for the cooking prize against celebrities such as Strictly Come Dancing star Johannes Radebe, EastEnders actor Rita Simons, reality star Katie Price and TV presenter Melanie Sykes.

Celebrity MasterChef viewers were enjoying the entertaining antics of Su Pollard and Bez in the kitchen last night as the new series launched on BBC One. Competing in the cooking contest on yesterday's episode were Happy Mondays dancer Bez, Hi-de-Hi!'s Su, EastEnders actress Rita Simons, Blue's Duncan James, and comedian Munya Chawawa.

Rod Stewart's wife Penny Lancaster showed off one of her favourite breakfast dishes ahead of Celebrity Masterchef. And Penny gave some insight into what Maggie May rocker Rod and her family like to eat to kick off the day when they are at home.

Happy Mondays percussionist Mark ‘Bez’ Berry made his debut on Celebrity MasterChef.The 16th series returned to BBC One yesterday (August 9), with Bez taking part in the competition alongside Katie Price, Rita Simons, Melanie Sykes and Johannes Radebe.Bez entertained fans with his cooking techniques on the show, as well as his pronunciation of the word “anchovies” and various phrases including “twisting my melons”.“BEZ THINKS ANCHOVIES ARE CALLED HANDKERCHIEFS.

Celebrity MasterChef will be returning to BBC One on Monday, August 9th. The BBC confirmed the release date on Twitter, and added the caption: "LET’S COOK! @JohnTorode1 and @GreggAWallace are joined by a new line-up of famous faces for #CelebrityMasterChef.
