Alison Hammond apologised to ITV viewers as she “dribbled” out of her nose live on air on This Morning. The 47 year old was co-hosting the morning show with Dermot O’Leary today, Friday 15 April, and admitted at the start of the show she was suffering with hay fever.
The presenter explained it wasn’t the “big c” (meaning the coronavirus) but her nose was stuffy so now and again she reached for a tissue throughout the show. However, when the duo decided to decorate Easter cupcakes, Alison found her nose running – which ITV viewers might have missed if she hadn’t pointed it out.

Alison was mortified and said: “Oops sorry, I’ve just dribbled out of my nose. I’m so sorry everyone, that is so gross.
I’m so sorry.” She later added: “Please don’t rewind that and look at that!” The “dribble” was barely noticeable on camera, but Dermot joked that it had gone into her beautifully decorated cake. Moments before, as Alison decorated her cake in edible flowers, sprinkles and edible mini Easter eggs, she commented to her co-host Dermot O’Leary: “This is lovely isn’t it.” He replied: “It is, Alison is so good at this, in a different world you’d do some sort of arts and crafts sort of thing, or a painter." Alison admitted that she finds decorative tasks therapeutic and added: “I just love decorating, I just love it, it chills me out to do stuff like this.” While, chef Phil suggested: “See I think you’d be a great pastry chef… because you pay attention, and you understand and you want to get it right.” “I’m like that all the time,” she added, before Dermot questioned: “All the time?” However,
