Alison Hammond and her new co-host Craig Doyle have been exchanging sweet messages on social media after delighting fans with their This Morning appearance. Fans of the ITV daytime show were treated to a new face on the Bank Holiday Monday show.
BT Sport presenter Craig made his debut as the main host of the programme after recently appearing to host the competition segment from his home of Ireland. He replaced Dermot O'Leary on the first show of the week as Alison said her usual co-host was 'having a day off'.
After welcoming Craig to the programme, the 47-year-old presenter said: "He [Dermot] said hello by the way. He said you're in safe hands... I don't know about that," the mum-of-one added as Craig joked that Dermot had gone through some 'red flag' areas.

Following their first show together, which saw viewers being left stunned by Dublin-born TV presenter Craig's age, Alison took to Instagram with a couple of snaps of the pair in the This Morning studio. " Well that was fun @craigadoyle," she wrote to her millions of followers: " Thanks for stepping in babs, loved it. you're a natural."
Craig also shared the love by posting one of the same photos to his own Instagram grid. He wrote: "What a fun day. Thank you to the wonderful @alisonhammond55 for minding me. Thank you to all the crew on @thismorning for inviting me along and @chefphilvickery for an incredible lunch.
"I felt honoured to be sitting on that iconic sofa. See you on Saturday for the Heineken Cup quarter final between Munster and Toulouse on @btsport @europeanrugbychampionscup."
