This Morning host Alison Hammond apologised to her co-stars and viewers after her phone rang live on air.The blunder came during a viewer call in with the ITV show’s resident agony aunt Deirdre Sanders. As Deirdre was giving a female viewer advice on feeling low after giving birth to a baby girl, a loud ringtone cut through the studio. Viewers then saw 47 year old Alison scrambling to turn it off, as she said: “I'm so sorry everyone, I'm so sorry.” Deirdre glanced over at Alison, before smiling and continuing to help the caller by telling her to confide in her mum about what she was experiencing.

However, after the segment had come to a close, an embarrassed Alison turned to Deirdre and co-host Dermot O’Leary to apologise once more. As she repeated how sorry she was, the former X Factor presenter assured the mum of one that it was fine and could happen to anyone.
This comes a day after former Big Brother star Alison was forced to wear her glasses when she couldn’t read the autocue. Opening the show alongside co-host Phillip Schofield, Alison, who was wearing a pair of black-framed glasses explained to viewers the reason she was sporting them. After welcoming viewers to the show, she explained: “I've actually got my glasses on because I couldn't see the autocue today.
