Voting is underway for the People’s Choice Award sponsored by Alpha Solway in the 2022 Scottish Health Awards, run by the Daily Record in partnership with NHS Scotland to recognise the work of some of the most dedicated staff in the country.
The People’s Choice Award specifically recognises individuals and teams who have responded so magnificently to the challenge of caring for people during the pandemic, while maintaining essential services and care.
Our judging panel has selected the most inspiring nominees, and now it’s up to Record readers to vote for their winner in this category. Voting will close on October 16 at 23:59.
If ever there was a time to celebrate the healing and caring heroes who have been dealing with the pandemic it is now.
While pandemic restrictions have lifted for most of us, those on the frontline of health and caring are working as hard as ever.
Doctors, nurses, carers, support staff and volunteers have been working tirelessly to help and care for others during these difficult years while keeping up with essential services.
Their invaluable skills and expertise have helped people in their care, healing them, looking after their needs, comforting them, and coming up with clever solutions, as well as saving lives.
So please cast your votes – it’s your award so please use your vote to shine a light on the unsung heroes who have given us so much.
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on November 3 at the O2 Academy in Edinburgh.
