Season three on The Witcher has officially started production!
Netflix announced the start date with three of its leads by sharing a first look photo on the set of the hit show.

The photo features Henry Cavill (Geralt of Rivia), Anya Chalotra (Yennefer of Vengerberg), and Freya Allan (Princess Cirilla of Cintra).
Here’s the synopsis of season three: As monarchs, mages, and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri of Cintra into hiding, determined to protect his newly-reunited family against those who threaten to destroy it. Entrusted with Ciri’s magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where she hopes to discover more about the girl’s untapped powers; instead, they discover they’ve landed in a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic, and treachery. They must fight back, put everything on the line — or risk losing each other forever.

Unafraid to speak his truth, Gallatin’s loyalty to his people ultimately leads him on a collision course with the elven sorceress Francesca (Mecia Simson) over power.
Academy Award winner Ariana DeBose will executive produce “Two and Only,” an original screenplay by Latina and LGBTQ+ writer Jen Rivas-DeLoose (“Selena: The Series”) for Sony’s Screen Gems, according to an individual with knowledge of the project.The project will serve as a star vehicle for DeBose, who recently became the first openly queer woman of color to win an Academy Award for her portrayal of ‘Anita’ in Spielberg’s “West Side Story.”While plot details are being kept under wraps, the project is described as “My Best Friend’s Wedding” with a bisexual Latina pov, and will be overseen at Screen Gems by Scott Strauss and Giselle Johnson.Producing the project are Sad Unicorn’s Randall Einhorn and Jeremy Stern.DeBose was most recently seen in Steven Spielberg’s reimagining of “West Side Story,” for which she won the Academy Award, SAG Award, BAFTA, and Critics Choice Award for Best Supporting Actress.
