Netflix have teased a behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming fourth series of The Witcher. It also confirmed that its fifth season would be its last.

The Witcher is coming to an end. The show announced today on X (aka Twitter) that Netflix has picked up a fifth season of the fantasy adaptation, which will be its last.

Joe Otterson TV Reporter “The Witcher” Season 4 has cast Sharlto Copley, James Purefoy, and Danny Woodburn, Variety has learned exclusively. Copley will play the infamous bounty hunter Leo Bonhart from “The Witcher” novels. Purefoy will play Skellen, a high-ranking spy and court advisor to Emhyr who is also a prominent figure in the novels.

First introduced in “The Witcher” novel “Baptism of Fire,” the character is described as “a world-wise Barber-surgeon with a mysterious past who joins Geralt on his journey.” Fishburne is the latest new addition to the cast of the series’ fourth season.

In 2017, Spanish filmmaker Alberto Corredor made the acclaimed horror short “Baghead,” a ghost story about a man who is haunted by grief and has questions that only the recently deceased can answer. The Witcher actor Joey Batey has revealed a plot point in season four that’s a “fan favourite” moment from the books.Batey returns as bard Jaskier in season three, part two of the Netflix show, which will be the last time fans get to see Henry Cavill in the role of Geralt Of Rivia.In a new interview with Metro, Batey referenced a significant detail from the books that he said he’s looking forward to portraying in the show.“I’m just glad that Jaskier’s still in it,” he joked, adding: “There’s a thing called the hanza, which I’m looking forward to exploring. It’s a bit of a fan-favourite moment I think.”In The Witcher books written by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski, Geralt’s company, or hanza, is a group of people that teams up to rescue Ciri.
