The Traitors runner-up Mollie Pearce has revealed that she has taken a step back from social media just days after the BBC show came to a close with an intense final. Making it all the way to the end, the disability model, 21, was left heartbroken after being betrayed by close friend Harry Clark, 23, who swiped all the prize money after revealing he was a traitor.
Now, mean trolls have taken to social media to hurl insults at Mollie over her decision to trust Harry, leading to a break. "I'm obviously new to all of that so I'm trying to process it and get my head around it and I'm kind of trying to stay off socials a little bit because I think today is going to be a bit rough," she explained.
Talking to The Mirror, Mollie continued: "I think it's very easy for the public to say that I was stupid and stuff like that but at the end of the day I'm 21 and I've got emotions - what could I do? "'I think people forget that you're human when they're watching it on TV, but we do all have feelings so people should be more cautious with their comments." Mollie isn't the only contestant to remind viewers of being cautious, with co-star Zack Davies also tweeting to 'be respectful' of the cast on the day of the final. He shared to X: "Also please guys I know you’re getting passionate about the show, and I LOVE that, but the contestants taking part are (might sound surprising) humans, and it is a game show.
So I urge everyone to be respectful and show restraint where they can!" Mollie was a Faithful on the show from the beginning, and quickly formed a friendship with gameplayer Harry. When it got to the final, she had the choice of whether to trust him or co-star Jaz Singh, who begged her to question Harry.
