As the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, travelling the world and representing the UK abroad are part and parcel of their roles. And later this month the pair will travel to the Caribbean, visiting Belize, Jamaica and The Bahamas on behalf of The Queen. And while royal tours are undoubtedly hard work, filled with numerous engagements, dinners and events, royal expert Jennie Bond doesn’t doubt that there’s a small part of Kate, 40 and William, 39, that is looking forward to some time on their own.

To mark St David's day this year, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge paid a visit to Abergavenny and Blaenavon in Wales, a place close to their hearts. As newlyweds, the pair lived in Anglesey where William worked as a search and rescue pilot plus, of course, the pair will one day be the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Being a royal involves a lot of time away from home meaning Kate Middleton and Prince William must leave their children each time they attend an engagement. This week, they visited Wales to mark St David's Day while their three children stayed at home at Apartment 1A Kensington Palace. Last month, William made his first official visit to Dubai, while Kate spent a few days in Denmark, all while they Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 6, and Prince Louis, 3, remained in the UK.

When Kate Middleton met Prince William they were both studying at St Andrew University in Scotland. The couple lived with friends throughout their studies before graduating and moving in together. After marrying in 2012, the first home they shared as newlyweds was in Wales where they lived before they had children.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been eyeing up a prep school in Berkshire for Prince George to attend when he finishes Thomas’s Battersea this summer. Prince William and Kate Middleton are understood to be preparing Prince George for a move to the Home Counties. The future King will finish at Thomas’s Battersea in summer and the current plan is for him to move to a prep school in Berkshire, with Lambrook near Ascot and Ludgrove School, where Prince Harry and Prince William both went, front runners.

Kate Middleton met with Danish royalty on Wednesday during her Royal Tour of Denmark. The 40-year-old Duchess of Cambridge met Mary, the Crown Princess of Denmark, who took the British royal on several local outings. Princess Mary, 50, is the wife of Frederik, the Crown Prince of Denmark, who is next in line to the Danish throne.

Kate Middleton and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark are set to reunite later this month.

Kate Middleton, 40, was the third wheel to Prince Charles, 73, and Camilla Parker Bowles, 74, during a royal outing on Thursday, Feb. 3.
