The Snuts have encouraged their fanbase to 'bombard' their record company, Parlophone, in order to release their second album early. The West Lothian rockers announced their highly anticipated second album, Burn The Empire, back in June and currently isn't due to hit shelves until October 7.
However, the band are keen to release their tracks earlier so fans get a chance to hear the album ahead of their upcoming UK tour. The group, from Whitburn, are due to head on tour across the UK and will play three Scottish dates - in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Inverness - as well as gigs in London and Manchester.
In a lengthy statement shared on social media, the band wrote: "Growing up watching bands we always wished we could hear their new album before going to the show. We asked our record label Parlophone if we could release out second record Burn The Empire early to allow us all to be able to connect with the new songs together and absolutely rip it up on the tour - to this we were told no."
They continued: "Since then, we have found out the records are ready to go to the store and can be delivered to you all. Please feel free to bombard @Parlophone on this post, on Twitter or in other fashion, and if you agree and think we should be able to put our record out whenever we want. #releasetherecord"
Fans have answered The Snuts' call, and taken to social media to encourage the record label to release the album early. Ayrshire rapper, and BBC Introducing Scottish act of the Year 2022, Bemz wrote: "@parlophone don’t be that guy. Let the music come out smh #releasetherecord"
One fan penned: "@parlophone #releasetherecord you should know better than to fight @thesnuts good luck guys" Another wrote: " @parlophone #releasetherecord artists and
