As reported by The Mirror, Lossiemouth's East Beach recently took the top spot in a list of the the country's top beaches by VisitScotland.

Situated on the northeast of the mainland, Lossiemouth is centred around a picturesque harbour that is nestled between two beaches. East Beach is adorned with lovely dunes and long stretches of white sand, making it a perfect place for dog walks and for taking in the one-of-a-kind panoramic views out across the water.
Meanwhile, West Beach is probably the better-known of the two — stretching over two miles to the historic Covesea Lighthouse. It marks the beginning of the coastal path to Hopeman via the Moray Coast Trail.
Both beaches are home to a rich and diverse range of bird and marine life. Moray Firth bottlenose dolphins, famous for splashing about in the waters off the coast, are often seen by those gazing out towards the waves.
