The Young & The Restless, also known as Y&R, is one of the longest-running soap operas ever.
The CBS show is set in fictional Genoa City, and first debuted in March of 1973.
The series has since won 11 Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Drama Series, and is now the highest-rated daytime drama on American television for over 34 years.
Along with the show’s hit success, many of the actors featured on the program have also amassed plenty of money in their own right.

Selome Hailu CBS has renewed “The Young and the Restless” for four more seasons, which will take the daytime drama through the 2027-2028 season. “The Young and the Restless” premiered in 1973, making it CBS’ longest running series. Centered on the residents of the fictitious Midwestern town of Genoa City, the series follows five decades of romances and rivalries between the Newman, Winters and Abbott families.
Naman Ramachandran Horror film “The Voices of Our Mother,” headlined by Sheila McCarthy (“Women Talking”), has wrapped principal photography.
