The Princess Charlotte effect! Young royal's £39 dress sells out after Commonwealth Games appearance

The end of the summer holiday is nearing which means a return to school for Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. But this September the royal children will be attending a different school as the family moves up to the Windsor estate. Private co-educational institution Lambrook School, in Berkshire, near Ascot, is the Cambridge children's new school.

Both children wore black shoes - Mary Janes for Charlotte and loafers for George. They also had backpacks, which their parents carried for them as they held their hands to walk to the school's gates.

Kensington Palace has released a statement about Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge‘s three children!

Prince George and Princess Charlotte had their final day at their former school, Thomas's in Battersea, South London, earlier this summer and will be joined by their younger brother, Prince Louis, at the exclusive prep school. A private school has been on the site where Lambrook stands since 1860 and it has many royal links.

Prince William, Kate Middleton and their three children are saying goodbye to their home at Kensington Palace, and moving to a new residence 30 miles away in the county of Berkshire -- home of Windsor Castle, where Queen Elizabeth II resides.A source told ET in June,  «Prince William and Duchess Kate are expected to relocate this fall to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor. The couple have been looking at schools in the Berkshire area near Bucklebury, where Kate’s parents are and closer to the Queen’s home base at Windsor Castle.»The cottage is just a short walk from the queen's home, giving the family easier access to the 96-year-old monarch. For its part, Lambrook is known to be one of the top prep schools in the U.K.

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are heading to a new school next month.

The Queen had a “very clear” message on how she would like a gift sent to herself to be passed down to Princess Charlotte and the rest of her great-grandchildren. The 96 year old monarch was given a life-sized Wendy house 90 years ago for her to play in as a child, which currently sits in the gardens at the Royal Lodge in Windsor, where the Queen grew up and lived in her early years.

While Princess Charlotte’s brothers Prince George and Prince Louis will each have important senior royal titles, her new title will have unique importance, as it is one that only seven of her Royal ancestors have previously shared.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are leaving London for Berkshire and according to reports, they are set to move into a four-bedroom house in Windsor with their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. As the summer holidays reach their final weeks, four year old Prince Louis is gearing up to make the transition into primary school and the move will mark the first time the three royal siblings will attend the same school.

Princess Charlotte appeared at the Commonwealth Games on Tuesday afternoon dressed in a lovely black and white Rachel Riley dress. The seven-year-old Princess delighted royal fans as she pulled funny faces throughout the competition whilst sitting between her parents, Kate Middleton and Prince William. Vernon Kay and Rochelle Humes on ITV's This Morning drew similarities between Charlotte's behaviour at the Commonwealth Games, with Prince Louis during the Platinum Jubilee.

Being a royal means there are certain protocols to follow. This is something that Kate Middleton did brilliantly during a recent visit to the Commonwealth Games on August 2 2022.The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge along with their daughter Princess Charlotte attended the sporting event that was officially opened by Charles, Prince of Wales on July 28.

Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were in Birmingham for day five of the Commonwealth Games and they brought Princess Charlotte along to catch some of the action. Princess Charlotte, seven, sat alongside her mother in a black and white striped dress with a Peter Pan collar to watch the swimming.

The seven year old royal made a rare solo public appearance with her parents, who took their daughter to sporting venues across Birmingham and to an official event in honour of the games.

A warm welcome to Birmingham, @KensingtonRoyal!#B2022pic.twitter.com/MQSNB47B37In addition to the swimming, Charlotte also joined her parents for a visit to SportsAid House, for which the Duchess of Cambridge serves as patron. The pint-sized royal shook hands with SportsAid CEO Tim Lawler and sat in a meeting with athletes at the house.  While Charlotte and her siblings don't typically join their parents for daily public engagements, the older two did make appearances at Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee events in June and for the Service of Thanksgiving held in March in honor of their late great-grandfather, Prince Philip. Just days ago, she joined her dad in a video message shared on social media for England's women's national football team, the Lionesses.

Princess Charlotte showed off her cheeky side after pulling funny faces during a rare outing with her parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The young royal appeared to take inspiration from her little brother Prince Louis, who was the centre of attention just last month at the Queen's Jubilee celebrations thanks to his cheeky behaviour.

Princess Charlotte accompanied Kate Middleton and Prince William to the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham today. The fourth in line to the throne wore a navy and white striped dress, with a peter pan collar. Charlotte's dress is from the London-based brand Rachel Riley.

Princess Charlotte has been pictured cheering on swimmers at the Commonwealth Games with her parents. The three were at Sandwell Aquatics Centre in Smethwick, the only brand-new venue for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. Charlotte seemed to be enjoying herself, making plenty of faces – though nothing to compete with Prince Louis at the Platinum Jubilee.
