Anyone looking for a weekend getaway in the Scottish countryside can book an overnight stay in a hotel overlooking a gorgeous loch for less than £60.

The Arrochar Hotel, which dates back to the 19th century, is situated in a stunning position on the shores of Loch Long just two miles from Loch Lomond. Visitors can currently book a room in the hotel for just £59, over half off the standard price of £155, using voucher website Wowcher.
All of the rooms at the hotel come equipped with a flatscreen TV, a "modern" en-suite, and free Wi-Fi. Located just a stone's throw from the edge of Loch Long, you can also upgrade to a room overlooking the spectacular body of water from just £15.
Meanwhile, the hotel is also home to a restaurant with à la carte and table d’hôte menus, and a lounge bar that is the perfect spot to relax with a glass of whisky in the evening. There is also a heated patio beer garden with views over the loch for those lovely clear autumn evenings.
According to travel website Tripadvisor, feedback from guests at the Arrochar Hotel is largely positive, with an average rating of 3.5 out of five based on 1,854 reviews.
One visitor wrote: "I think the hotel needs a bit of TLC but it’s a great hotel with a marvellous view of the loch, the scenery is amazing. Breakfast is varied and we really enjoyed it, as much as you want and really well cooked.
"Evening meals are lovely and you're served both breakfast and an evening meal overlooking mountains and the loch, you couldn’t better the view."
