A Greater Manchester pub has gone viral on TikTok thanks to its unique location right beside the runway at Manchester Airport.
Fittingly named The Airport Pub, the establishment attracts visitors from all over as you can watch planes landing and taking off up close.
The pub has attracted attention on TikTok after plane spotter wjm_aviation posted a video clip of a plane coming into land and flying directly over the beer garden, with the caption “Wait for it…Is this the best pub?” The video has amassed 19.4k likes and more than 300 comments.
Fans of the pub have been quick to comment on the clip. TikTok user janicecann1 said: “Brilliant plane viewing” while xoxo_Beth_xoxo said: “love this place”. Wayneofoden added: “airport hotel Manchester airport location it's awesome and always has been since my first visits in the late 70s... icon.”

The pub is all geared up for plane spotting with a huge beer garden which is kitted out with a separate outdoor bar so you can place your order while still looking out for planes coming into land. It’s so close to the runway that there’s even a barbed-wire topped fence separating punters from the planes, it sounds prison-like but it’s a sign of how close you are to the action.
As well as being a destination for plane spotters, the Airport Pub is incredibly family-friendly and has embraced the theme when it comes to keeping kids entertained. It has an aeroplane-shaped play zone for children, where they can let their imaginations run wild. In the past there's also been a plane-themed bouncy castle area.
