House prices are gradually coming down across the country, which is great news for buyers - especially those looking to get on the property ladder for the first time in 2024. The average cost of a home across the UK fell by an average of £3,000 in the last year, new data from the Land Registry has revealed.
Exclusive analysis by the Manchester Evening News can now reveal just how much house prices have changed in each postcode area across Greater Manchester in the last 12 months - and what the average house costs to buy across the region today.
The Altrincham and Hale Barns area is the most expensive place to buy a house, with an average price of £604,360. On the other end of the scale, Bardsley and Oldham have the cheapest house prices across the region, with an average cost of £150,487.
