The Killers’ Brandon Flowers says their new album sounds like “Manchester and Bruce Springsteen”

Despite wearing the loudest outfit in an arena crammed with 7,500 Bernie Sanders fans, Julian Casablancas didn’t have much to say about the Democratic Senator from Vermont. The Strokes were the headline entertainment at Sanders’ latest presidential campaign rally on Monday night at the University of New Hampshire in Durham, and Casablancas took to the stage dressed like a lounge lizard who’d just teleported from a Comic-Con in Atlantic City.

After announcing its release date at last night’s Bernie Sanders rally in New Hampshire, the Strokes have detailed their first album in seven years. The New Abnormal, produced by Rick Rubin, arrives April 10 via Cult/RCA. Ahead of the new record, they’ve shared the new single “honey,” as well as a string of North American tour dates. Eminem’s new album Music To Be Murdered By caught many fans by surprise with how dark and violent his rhymes are. He even referenced the deadly 2017 bombing at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, England in the song “Unaccomodating”, featuring Young M.A. He raps, “But I’m contemplating yelling ‘bombs away’ on the game/Like I’m outside of an Ariana Grande concert waiting.” Now Slim Shady has put out a message to fans that this album is meant to “shock the conscience.”

Eminem surprised the world last week when he released a new album, “Music To Be Murdered By.” However, like so many times in the mercurial rapper’s career, he’s courting controversy with his lyrics.

Bruce Springsteen brought back an Asbury Park tradition on Saturday night, taking the stage at the Paramount Theater for the big finale of Light of Day’s Winterfest. It had been five years since the “real governor of New Jersey,” as Springsteen was introduced, attended the annual event, a week-long musical celebration which raises money to fight Parkinson’s Disease and other related illnesses.
