Eminem Faces Backlash For Lyric About Ariana Grande & Manchester Bombing on New Album

Eminem’s new album Music To Be Murdered By caught many fans by surprise with how dark and violent his rhymes are. He even referenced the deadly 2017 bombing at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, England in the song “Unaccomodating”, featuring Young M.A. He raps, “But I’m contemplating yelling ‘bombs away’ on the game/Like I’m outside of an Ariana Grande concert waiting.” Now Slim Shady has put out a message to fans that this album is meant to “shock the conscience.”

Eminem surprised the world last week when he released a new album, “Music To Be Murdered By.” However, like so many times in the mercurial rapper’s career, he’s courting controversy with his lyrics.

Eminem recently surprised his fans by dropping a brand new album titled, Music to be murdered by. While the album is loaded with some great collaboration with people like Ed Sheeran, Skylar Grey and the late rapper Juice WRLD, it is his song ‘Unaccommodating’ which managed to raise eyebrows. In the track, the singer raps about the 2017 terror attack at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, and the lyrics did not go down well with many of his fans who thought Eminem’s words were insensitive.

Eminem took everyone by surprise and dropped his Alfred Hitchcock-inspired Music To Be Murdered By album out of the sky on Friday (Jan. 17). Slim Shady had a lot to get off his chest with his Kamikaze follow-up, which is made up of 20 tracks and includes a myriad of guests like his former Slaughterhouse running mates, sans Joe Budden, the late Juice WRLD, Don Toliver, Young M.A., Ed Sheeran, and more.

While Eminem’s surprise new album, Music to Be Murdered By, doesn’t come packed with quite as many aggressive diss lines as 2018’s Kamikaze, there’s still plenty of stray shots directed at his competition. Over the course of 20 tracks, Em takes aim at perennial rivals like Machine Gun Kelly, Nick Cannon, Lord Jamar, and Joe Budden. He also saves some bars for fellow Detroit rapper Tee Grizzley as well as Odd Future cohorts Earl Sweatshirt and Tyler, The Creator.
