The eagerly anticipated musical Come From Away is coming to The Lowry Theatre.
This multi-award-winning musical marks its first-ever tour of the UK and Ireland after a successful run on the West End, sharing a tale of humanity amidst crisis.
Based on true events, the show recounts the incredible real-life story of the 7,000 air passengers from all over the world who were grounded in Canada during the wake of 9/11 and the small Newfoundland community that invited these ‘come from aways’ into their lives.

The first female American Airlines captain, the quick-thinking town mayor, the mother of a New York firefighter and the eager local news reporter are among the many real characters caught at the start of the moment that changed the course of history.
The show will be stopping at The Lowry in the winter and will play for a month from December 3, 2024, to January 5, 2025.
Penned by Irene Sankoff and David Hein alongside director Christopher Ashley, Come From Away debuted on Broadway in 2017 before gracing the West End stage in 2019, earning a prestigious Tony and Olivier Awards.
The musical highlights inherent goodness and connection, showcasing the extraordinary way individuals can come together and support one another during times of crisis.
