The Holiday fans are out in force again this festive season, and some have come up with a haunting new theory about one of best-loved Christmas films. The iconic rom-com movie, which sees women Amanda (played by Cameron Diaz) and Iris (Kate Winslet) decide to swap houses for the season, quickly became one of the most-watched films set at Christmastime when it was released in the early 2000s.
Featuring a heart-warming tale of love and friendship, and plenty of hijinks along the way with loveable heart-throb Jude Law, what more could you want at this time of year? But the sweet storyline could actually be something much more sinister, as some viewers have conjured up a theory about Graham (Jude), who is also Iris's brother. The Holiday sees Amanda and Graham strike up a romance and their chemistry is immediately off the charts.
Despite being chained to her job in the Hollywood movie industry, Amanda finally starts to settle in to her quaint country home, and is so charmed by the lifestyle that she eventually decides to ditch her sun-soaked Los Angeles existence for a while longer. The character falls in love with Graham and the pair spend New Year together with the latter's daughters, one of whom is now barely recognisable.
Taking to Reddit to discuss a far more chilling guess about the film's plot, some fans were convinced that Graham actually murdered his first wife.
The theory suggested that the English gentleman was actually a psychotic killer, and simply wanted to inherit her plush home in the expensive area of Surrey. What's more, the theory suggested that Iris was in on the terrifying plot, and her whole reason for house swapping with Amanda was to see if she had enough money and assets for their plans.

Since moving to Williamsburg, Brooklyn in my first one-bedroom apartment in NYC, I’ve been kind of obsessed with home decorating. I scour home shopping websites, am constantly browsing furniture brand sales, and always on the lookout for knick-knacks and home bric-a-brac. I’ve always been interested in design (I used to work as a graphic designer), but it wasn’t until I had my own space to design how I liked and how I wanted, that I finally found the space to create my on home.

Margot Robbie’s Barbie exposed all of his “blond fragility” on the big screen in the summer blockbuster that brought the iconic Mattel doll to life, it’s “the man behind the tan” — as memorably Kenoughed by Ryan Gosling — who is having the last laugh in 2023.“I’m Just Ken (Merry Kristmas Barbie)” — a new holiday rendition of his signature number in Greta Gerwig’s box-office smash — dropped from the hunky heavens on Wednesday. The Yuletide twist arrives just five days before Santa will be delivering Barbies and Kens to little girls and boys all around the (snow) globe. The “Kristmas” makeover of “I’m Just Ken” puts a sweeping, Phil Spector-esque spin on the song that was written by “Barbie” music supervisors Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt.
