With brighter and warmer days ahead of us now that winter is over, many people will be planning trips out in the countryside. One natural wonder which provides a beautiful backdrop to a walk or picnic is a breathtaking waterfall.
Throughout the Peak District you’ll find some incredible waterfalls, from ones hidden between the trees in the woodland to magnificent falls which cascade over rock faces. Yet why see one waterfall when you can see several in one outing?
In the Peak District is a little-known walk where you can see seven waterfalls back-to-back. The route is found on the western edge of the Peak District near the village of Tintwistle and it’s only 5km in total, so even less experienced walkers can enjoy a stroll at this beauty spot.

Our colleagues at Derbyshire Live recently explored the route and have shared a guide on how to follow it - here’s what they found. Walkers are advised to make sure they familiarise themselves with the route, pack the correct equipment and clothing and be aware of appropriate contact details in case of emergencies.
The walk begins near Arnfield Reservoir in Tintwistle (The nearest postcode is SK13 1HP). There isn't a lot of parking around - when we visited we managed to snag a parking space at the side of a road.
You then make your way up Crossgate Lane from the reservoir until you pass a farm - which sometimes has a peacock walking around the grounds - and reach a T-junction. Turn left onto Arnfield Lane and walk around 300m till you reach Gamekeeper Cottage.
