A picturesque village in the Peak District will hold its popular food festival once more this May with more than 50 stalls selling local products and tasty treats. Tideswell will host the 13th edition of the annual festival, which will see the streets of the village taken over for one day only.
The festival will take place from 10am until 4pm on Saturday, May 4, with food from across the Peak District available to buy. Visitors can sample a range of food options, from Caribbean fusion meals to sweet treats such as doughnuts and pancakes.
As well as lots of delicious grub on offer, there will be live music and street entertainment throughout the day. Inside the village’s historic church, The Cathedral of the Peak, there will also be a Makers Market selling arts and crafts, DerbyshireLive reports.

Tideswell Food Festival is organised and run by a group of local village volunteers, who donate any surplus as grants to local causes. So far it has raised more than £10,000 for various local projects to date.
The festival first began in May 2011 with only 20 stalls as a celebration of the range and quality of local food on offer in the Peak District. Since then it has tripled in the number of stalls and now attracts visitors in the thousands.
It’s grown to include the Makers Market, which will sell items from local artists and craftspeople, as well as live music and dance from local performers. There will be free parking for the festival at the northeast side of the village in a field off Whitecross Road, the closest postcode is SK17 8PY. For more information visit the food festival website.
