An awkward mix-up occurred on the red carpet for the stars of Netflix's The Crown, during an interview with Loni Love. Famous US TV presenter Loni, reporting alongside Laverne Cox on E's Live From The Red Carpet at the SAG Awards, got into a spot of bother while chatting to the cast of the popular TV series, The Crown, which is based on the British Royal family. At first, Loni talked to Australian actress Elizabeth Debicki, who played Princess Diana on the show and scooped up the SAG award for Female Actress in a Drama Series for her role on the night - all while completely barefoot.
When Elizabeth's co-stars joined them, Loni started confusing one actor for another. Initially, Loni told actor Ed McVey, who plays Prince William: "You played Dodi," but it was actually Khalid Abdalla who played Dodi Fayed. Next, she told Ed McVey: "You were Harry," but effectively, it was Luther Ford, who replied that he played Prince Harry.
Finally, Loni said to Ed McVey: "No, you were William," and this time, Ed McVey confirmed it. She then asked the cast what they did for fun when not filming, where both Khalid and Elizabeth revealed that they didn't film scenes with Ed and Luther. Loni, handling the situation calmly, turned to Khalid and complimented his superb portrayal of Dodi, as she said: "You did a wonderful rendition of Dodi, how did you do that?" Loni then followed up and asked: "Did you study?" Khalid shared: "I studied everything I could find of him.
