The brave four-year-old who is 'happy all the time' despite facing a terrifying future

A mum has spoken about her immense pride for her four-year-old son who has been diagnosed with cancer. Alexandra and Michael Williams, both 32, had their world turned upside down when their son Noah was diagnosed with stage four cancer.
The couple had just given birth to Noah’s younger sister Harriet, when a lump was found on Noah’s groin. Doctors diagnosed Noah, who is autistic and non-verbal, with rhabdomyosarcoma in 2023.
Since then Noah has been in and out of hospital undergoing rounds of intensive chemotherapy. But his mum, says she is in awe of her ‘unique’ son who has taken it all ‘in his stride’.

Speaking about her 'happy' and ‘active’ son, Alexandra from Radcliffe, said: “He’s so happy, he’s just happy all the time. I think that has helped me and my husband get through this.”
“We are really proud of him. With Noah, he’s autistic and non-verbal as well so that makes this journey very challenging because he’s very sensory to a lot of things.
“The treatments have been very difficult. But, he’s just took it all in his stride."
Rhabdomyosarcoma is a common type of childhood cancer that occurs when cancer cells grow from muscle tissue. Alexandra says that Noah is set to undergo a year of intensive treatment in hospital before undergoing two years of treatment at home which will mainly involve tablet medication.
Prior to his diagnosis, Alexandra says Noah showed no signs of illness and remained the energetic and happy child who was obsessed with kid's TV shows and characters like Mr Tumble and Hey Duggee.
