Ed Sheeran responds to claims he turned down chance to perform at King Charles III’s coronation

Ed Sheeran has denied claims that he refused to perform at King Charles III’s coronation concert at the weekend. The pop star was one of many musicians speculated to have declined an invitation for the Windsor Castle concert on Sunday (May 7). However, the ‘Shape Of You’ singer put the rumours to rest during a chat on SiriusXM (via Metro), and confirmed that he didn’t attend the show because he was never invited.“No one ever asked me (to perform),” he said, explaining where he was for the historic event, “I assume if they went online and went ‘What’s Ed doing on May 6’, they would go ‘Oh, he’s playing in Dallas’.

'Yellowstone': The Biggest Character Deaths (and Exits) So Far

has gone through quite a revolving door of cast exits — and character deaths — over the years. The biggest one, of course, is the impending departure of Kevin Costner, who has played patriarch John Dutton III since the series' 2018 launch. ET broke the news earlier this week that Costner would not be returning to the popular drama after season 5 amid alleged tension with co-creator Taylor Sheridan over filming commitments for the remaining episodes of the season. While details remain unclear on how Costner's exit will be incorporated into , there continues to be uncertainty over when filming will resume in Montana to finish out season 5, which was originally slated for a summer return on Paramount Network. The update on Costner's involvement comes months after it was first reported that the series may be ending in its current form.

Susanne Sundfør: “The biggest danger is ourselves and losing our ability to have civilised conversations”

Susanne Sundfør has spoken to NME about her new album ‘Blómi’, and how it was inspired by finding distraction in the old world away from the political divisions of modern society. The acclaimed Norwegian singer-songwriter and Röyksopp collaborator released her sixth album on Friday (April 28), following on from 2017’s acclaimed ‘Music For People In Trouble‘.With the predecessor inspired by Sundfør’s own emotional battles reflecting the planet in peril, she said that her new record looks for light in the darkness instead – not that the world is in an any better situation.“Are we more in trouble now than in 2017? I think we are, but it’s more about polarisation than the state of the world anymore,” she told NME. “There are a lot of things that could go wrong, but the biggest danger is ourselves and our ability to have civilised conversations and keep trying to communicate across political realms.“Personally, I’ve fallen out with people because we’ve had different opinions on political matters and I find that really sad.
