The slate includes two specials based on Mattel’s American Girl franchise and a supernatural romance starring Peyton List.The first American Girl special has the working title “American Girl: Corinne Tan,” inspired by the doll brand’s 2022 girl of the year and the first doll of Chinese descent.

It will also cover her career as an entertainer, after she became the first Black woman to star in a major motion picture in 1927 silent film Siren Of The Tropics.Jennifer Yale, best known for her work on Outlander, See and Legion, will serve as showrunner on the series.

David O. Russell’s next film now has a title and release date: it’s called “Amsterdam,” and it will open in theaters on November 4.

HBO Max will release Menudo: Forever Young, a new documentary about the Latin American boy band from filmmakers Angel Manuel Soto (Charm City Kings) and Kristofer Ríos (Havana Skate Days), on June 23. The premiere will follow the project’s debut at the 2022 Tribeca Festival on June 11.
