Bradley Walsh has been nominated for his first British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) award.The 60 year old, who was recently spotted filming for Darling Buds Of May remake The Larkins, has appeared on the list of nominees for the Entertainment Performance category for his role as the host of The Chasers.The star has been an actor since 1993 has been the presenter for the ITV show for 12 years but has never been put forward for the coveted award until now.

Feel Good star and creator Mae Martin has responded to their BAFTA nomination for Best Female Performance in a Comedy Programme.Martin, who recently came out as non-binary and uses they/them and she/her pronouns, commented on the recognition on Twitter.“Thank you so much Bafta! This is very thrilling,” Martin wrote. “Thanks to Joe Hampson and @Objective-Fic and @Charitchie and all the other angelic supportive people who helped make the show.

“Small Axe,” a series of dramas exploring the experiences of London’s West Indian community from the 1960s to the 1980s, received 15 nominations on Wednesday for the British Academy Television Awards.

Emmerdale has been snubbed from this year's nominations for the TV BAFTAs, despite winning the award for best soap in 2020.
