SXSW Film Festival Will Stream for Free at Your Home, Thanks to Amazon Prime

For those of you who were bummed to find out SXSW was canceled this year due to coronavirus concerns, we've got good news! According to Deadline, Amazon Prime plans to take the festival experience virtual with the launch of Prime Video Presents the SXSW 2020 Film Festival Collection on Monday, April 27. The virtual festival will run through Wednesday, May 6.

The Coronavirus outbreak has put a halt to almost everything around the world. As countries have resorted to stricter rules for curbing the entire situation and combating the deadly virus, multiple events and occasions have been cancelled to date.

The Venice Film Festival will go ahead as planned in September, with organizers promising to defy the threat of the coronavirus pandemic.

Amazon Prime Video announced that it will host a handful of titles that were set to screen at this year’s SXSW film festival. The SXSW 2020 Film Festival Collection will be open to all users with an Amazon login in the United States, not just those with a Prime subscription, for ten days.
